Missing and Endangered Person Alert

This is my beautiful aunt Sherene. She has been missing since Monday November 9, 2009. Any prayers offered in her behalf are so very much appreciated. We just want her home safe and back with her family who loves her so much. Please feel free to help us in our search by spreading the word and this picture through whatever means you can.

if any of you are reading this in the Phoenix, Arizona region I could use your help. Sherene Davis Reese has been missing since Monday. A missing and endangered person report has been filed with the Salt Lake County Utah Sheriff’s office and the Phoenix Police. Above is a picture of Sherene and her husband Craig Reese.

Sherene has some medical issues and has apparently stopped taking her medication. Without the medication she becomes disoriented and easily confused. The missing and endangered person report was filed Monday night with the Salt Lake County Sheriff. She called home from Phoenix, Arizona on Wednesday and asked for a bus ticket home. A bus ticket was purchased and she was supposed to arrive home on Thursday, but she was not on the bus and hasn’t been heard from since. After it was discovered that she was in Phoenix a missing persons report was also filed with the Phoenix Police.

Sherene Reese Davis is 38 years old, 5′5″ tall, approximately 130 lbs, with brown shoulder length hair. There is a possibility that she is at a homeless shelter Phoenix. She may be wearing her work uniform, with a shirt that says Taco Time. Sherene may be disoriented or confused about where she is or whether she needs help. If anyone in the Phoenix, Arizona area happens to see Sherene please call the Phoenix Police Department at (602) 262-7626 or simply call 911. We just want her home safe and sound.

I'm am beyond excited.

I first saw Aida on Broadway so many years ago, I don't even remember the year, sometime between 1999-2001? (Help me out Ashley...Wow, that was so long ago. It was such an amazing trip, maybe this will be my Memory Monday this coming week.) Anyway, it was a fairly new musical and all anyone seemed to know about it was that the music was by Elton John and Tim Rice and it was set in ancient Egypt. Well, growing up I was always so intrigued by Egypt and even went as far as deciding I would become an Egyptologist. My mom hoped beyond anything that this fascination with ancient Egypt and me wanting to move out there so I could be an Egyptologist was just a phase. LOL. So, needless to say, I was really excited about going to this particular play.

I immediately fell in love and bought the soundtrack that same night. That was the first CD I ever purchased, crazy huh. Well, a few years later Aida came to the Capitol Theatre in SLC, of course I went! When Casey and I first started dating, favorite plays somehow came into the conversation and I told him about Aida. Being the sweetheart he is, on the radio to school one day he heard that Aida was going to be in SLC and bought tickets to surprise me.

Uh-Oh...

The Aida that he bought tickets to was the wrong Aida. This particular Aida was the original version-the Italian opera version vs. my Aida that was a rock musical based on the very same. Oh well. It was still super sweet of him.

And, now here we are years later, finally getting to go to Aida. Casey bought these tickets about a year ago as a birthday present to yours truly. (yay me!)

Unfortuantely for him, he has to sacrifice watching the BYU vs Florida State game to go to Aida.

I hope this doesn't make him sour towards Aida.

Memory Monday

I'm going to try something new.

This something new is officially called Memory Monday.

Last night as Casey and I were laying in bed, our little pup Daisy jumped up on our bed, burrowed her head under our covers, crawled to the bottom of our bed (still underneath the covers) walked around our feet and came up on Casey's side and curled up next to his stomach and started to fall asleep. I was on the other side of Casey, so needless to say, he was being squished between both of us.

Casey: "You both are squishing me."
Justine: "Kind of like a sandwich...a 'girl'led cheese sandwich!"

When I was younger I thought grilled cheese sandwiches were called girl-led cheese sandwiches and that only girls were allowed to eat them. If boys were allowed to eat them, they would have to have their own version, something like a boy cheese sandwich. I remember being at a restaurant with my younger brother, Matthew, and he ordered a grilled cheese sandwich, and I couldn't believe he would/could do that because he was a boy!

Hello people! it's called a GIRL-led cheese sandwich. YUM!

A sweet friend in Wymount, who might I ad is an amazing artist, introduced these flowers to me. I was over at her house one day and I couldn't help but admire these beautiful flowers. I was stunned when she told me what they were made of COFFEE FILTERS! who da thunk? They are super easy (seriously, super easy) to make and a lot of fun at the same time. :)

Well, tomorrow I am off to the DMV to take my Nevada drivers license written exam so I can officially get a Nevada drivers license! I kind of feel like I am going to Driver's Ed tomorrow. Wish me luck.

They will be vacationing on our porch for the remainder of summer using such amenities as our washer and dryer. Yeah.

Can you imagine seeing these gross, dirty bugs every time you go to do laundry? Seriously. EEWWW!!! Every time I open the lid to the washer, there is at least one hanging out at the bottom. I eventually coax the little bugger out, do the laundry, only to find when the laundry is finished, there is another cockroach, only dead at the bottom. EEWWW! Lets not even mention the dryer... Let me just say, our lint trap holds more than just lint. It makes me shiver just thinking about it. Again... EEEEEEWWWWW!
